Kyte & Kestrel Lodge

The beautiful high beamed ceilings and large windows create an openness in the living area, flooding the lodges with natural light and softening the distinction between the outside and in. Bold patterns and bright colours introduce a modern touch, complimenting the original wood and stone features of the traditional barn building. With a patio on both sides of the barn and ample lawn space, you can really make the most of the fresh air and glorious surroundings.

Each lodge can sleep up to 8 people across 4 bedrooms, all of which can be arranged as two single beds or one king size bed. Both lodges have a large living area, open kitchen and 3 bathrooms across 2 floors, so there's plenty of room to relax. Our lodges are pet friendly, please let us know in advance if you're bringing your four-legged friend!

The fully equipped kitchens and large dining areas mean there’s plenty of space to cook up a storm or share a tasty take away. There’s even a dishwasher to make sure the clean-up will be a breeze too! Settle down in front of the Smart TV, which enables you to pick up exactly where you left off in your favourite series, watch and rewind live TV and of course browse streaming sites for the latest films.

With 3 bathrooms across the two floors there’s no queuing necessary, if someone’s having a long hot soak you’ve still access to “the facilities” (to put it politely!). And yes, if a bubble bath is your cup of tea, we’ve got you covered! In each lodge there is a bath in one of the en-suites, with the other having a shower cubicle. Both lodge main bathrooms are on the ground floor and have been converted in to wet rooms, with plenty of space and a walk-in shower, we’ve got a bathroom to suite everyone!

We’re here to make the lodges the perfect place for you to stay, so when booking let us know how you’d like the beds configured in each room and if you’d like the addition of a travel cot or pet bed, we want to make sure everyone can get comfy! Complimentary towels and toiletries are always included for that little touch of luxury.

Local Area

Historical Abingdon became the county town of Berkshire sometime after receiving its Royal Charter in 1556. It is a market town and civil parish in England.

This breathtaking town located just six miles south-west of Oxford was formally a county town of Berkshire but had a slight name change in 2012 to become Abingdon-on-Thames.

Abingdon town centre refurbished in 2007 as part of the council's redevelopment plan took on a great new look. All work was in keeping with the surrounding area.

Come and discover this delightful town for yourself, explore and learn its history, there's so much to see and do!

In 1084, William the Conqueror celebrated and enjoyed Easter at the Abbey. He then left his son, the future Henry I, to be educated there.
